Why Join the Club?

In today's world, teens encounter a multitude of challenges that can feel overwhelming. Issues like substance abuse, mental health struggles, pressure, and resource barriers can impact their well-being and future. These challenges are not just individual battles but affect families and communities throughout Orange County.

When you join the Business Spotlight Club, you’re supporting something far greater than you might imagine — giving a teen and their family hope.

Additionally, your donation is 100% tax-deductible and positions your business in front of more than 4,000 engaged supporters, all while supporting a cause that truly changes lives.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE MANY CHALLENGES TEENS AND FAMILIES FACE IN OUR COMMUNITY:

  • Substance Abuse

Drug overdose deaths among teens rose by 40% and suicide rates by 30% in the last five years.

  • Mental Health Struggles

Stigma around mental health and addiction prevents families from seeking help, leading to silent suffering.

  • Pressure

Peer pressure and social media influences teens to use drugs or alcohol, worsening mental health issues.

  • Resource Barriers

Resources are often scattered, making support access difficult. Services focus solely on mental health or substance use, leaving families to struggle to find integrated, affordable help.

HERE ARE THE SOLUTIONS WE ARE PROVIDING:

OUTREACH & PREVENTION

Maya’s Story
JADE

“The JADE program was a big part of how I got sober. It gave me education, prevention, and counseling, which helped me see why I got hooked and showed me better ways to deal with stuff. The support and personalized help kept me on track and motivated. Thanks to JADE, I’ve stayed sober and feel strong enough to keep building a better future.”

Jamal’s Story
3-Day Program

“The Alternative to Suspension program didn’t just kick me out of school like usual. Instead, they actually helped me with counseling and personal guidance. I learned how to control myself and make better choices. The program helped me stay in school and taught me skills that will be useful later on. Without it, I probably would’ve fallen behind, but now I feel way more confident and ready for what’s next.”

Sophia’s Story
Counseling

The Pathways Community Counseling Center through CYS helped me a lot. When I was struggling with bad depression and anxiety, my counselor listened and supported me. Thanks to them, I can focus on college and enjoy it. Now, I mentor other teens facing the same problems. Counseling really changed my life.”
