Since 1775, the Marine Corps has stood as a symbol of excellence, bravery, and dedication. On this day, we honor the legacy and the commitment of the Marines, who have selflessly served and protected our nation. Their unwavering spirit and sacrifice have shaped our country's history and safeguarded our freedoms.
Recognizing the Young Heroes at Home
This day is also an opportunity to acknowledge the often-unspoken heroes – the children of our service members. The life of a military child is marked by frequent moves, adapting to new schools, and the uncertainty that comes with having a parent deployed. These young individuals show incredible resilience, strength, and adaptability.
At CYS, we recognize the unique challenges faced by military children. We see the strength in these youth, who, amidst the challenges, continue to thrive and inspire our community.
